The short version: Your financial data never leaves your device. We don't collect it, we don't see it, and we don't sell it. Ever.
Canadian Tax Helper was built with a privacy-first approach. We believe your financial information is deeply personal, and we have designed the App so that sensitive data stays where it belongs — on your device.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect (very little), how we use it, and your rights as a user.
The following data is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's secure on-device storage (SwiftData). It is never transmitted to our servers or any third party:
When you purchase a Premium subscription, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive only confirmation of a valid subscription (no payment card details). Apple's privacy policy governs that transaction.
If you have enabled "Share iPhone Analytics" in your iOS settings, Apple may share anonymized crash reports and performance data with us through Xcode Organizer. This data contains no personal or financial information. You can disable this in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
If you contact us at support@erozanov.com, we will retain your email address and the content of your message in order to respond to your inquiry. We do not share this with third parties and delete it upon request.
All data you enter into the App is stored locally on your iOS device using Apple's SwiftData framework, which benefits from the device's built-in encryption (protected by your passcode and/or Face ID / Touch ID).
We operate no backend servers that store your personal or financial data. There is no account to create or log into for basic App functionality.
If you delete the App, all locally stored data is removed from your device. We recommend exporting any records you wish to keep before uninstalling.
The App is distributed through Apple's App Store. Apple collects certain information as described in Apple's Privacy Policy, including app download records associated with your Apple ID.
The App contains no third-party advertising SDKs, tracking pixels, or analytics platforms (such as Google Analytics or Facebook SDK). We do not track your behaviour for advertising purposes.
The App includes links to official Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) resources at canada.ca. Visiting those links is subject to the Government of Canada's privacy policy. We do not control those pages and are not responsible for their content or data practices.
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
Because we do not collect or store your personal financial data on our servers, most data subject rights (access, correction, deletion) are exercised directly on your device by managing or deleting the App.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
We will never change this policy in a way that reduces your privacy protections without giving prominent notice within the App.
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of Canada. We comply with applicable Canadian privacy legislation, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
